about
Nord, consisting of Satoshi Katayama and Hiroshi Oikawa, were one of the leading groups in the Japanese underground music scene of the 1980s. The group's two members now perform separately, both of them using the Nord moniker. This is the first CD reissue of their debut LP, originally released by Pinakotheca Records in 1981 when they were still performing as a duo. This reissue includes a disk of bonus material recorded around the same time as the LP. The bonus material includes four previously unreleased studio live takes recorded on April 29, 1982, and a complete version (18:49) of their live set at Shinjuku Loft on August 24, 1981 (part of the live set was previously issued on the "Live Materials" cassette on Vanilla Records). A rare glimpse of Katayama and Oikawa as a duo!
